my version of our first projectHere is my version of our first arch project. I didnt like the matrix room and I wanted to see more shadows from the sun and sky so I made some slight changes. I couldnt find images which looked real so I modeled a new outside environment. I used a fluid simulation script for the clouds and the ocean is Maya Ocean under dynamics.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Re: my version of our first projectLooks very good.
Most of it looks very realistic The background is a bit distracting. Mostly I think you just need some depth of field. Some separation. The grass plants look like they are growing out of the water at first glance. This is mainly because they are in the same field of focus, but ... 200 yards apart in reality? The water draws and holds the eye, a lot. The sofa is very cool, and nice reflections on the wall and lighting on the floor. The flowers are cool .. but the wilting maybe a little over stated. Could just be that I know it's 3D so im nitpicking. Hardest thing about criticizing 3D images is trying to forget they are 3d
Re: my version of our first projectI like what you did with the matrix room. What did you use to create the clouds?
Re: my version of our first projectI didnt even think about depth to field. I will render it and see if it looks better. I was going to mess with the maya ocean to try and make it more realistic but I think your suggestion is better.
Warren I used a free script. Here is a link http://vimeo.com/34375300. They turn out awesome but the render times are insane.
Re: my version of our first projectThx, I'll check out the link
Re: my version of our first projectA great suggestion. I have added the image with depth of field.
