Interesting! The main thing would be to finish it =P
Add more stuff on the counter, picture on the wall, something plugged into the wall .. something near the beginning with the door, trash can? room number sign?
Texture the blanket .. looks like a default shader.
I know it's just a quick attempt, and the animation looks good!! Keep at it!

Hey Warren. The first person view could have a greater effect if you could somewhat simulate the shifting that occurs when we walk - but not so much that it would be distracting, but enough to give the effect to avoid feeling too 3D computer environment. For some reason, I am reminded of Resident Evil games...I'm not sure that they did much in first person view cinematics, but that might be a good source of inspiration.
