Subject : Creating a Tileable 256k wood texture for use in video games. This series should get you familiar and more comfortable with some basic techniques for painting your own textures.

Content : The texture we are creating is a simple red wood texture similar to what I will be using in a small project I am working on.

Software : The techniques in this series should be present in any photo editing software from Photoshop to Gimp.

Overview : In this first video we will go over some techniques for laying down a nice base color with some variation.

I made this after watching your game art tutorial...it was a 256x256 that i tiled and made into a 1024 and edited some more to help offset the "tiled" look some. The full 1024 is at the bottom.
